Green Mountain Farm Direct Website

March 2010

Jumpstart Logic worked with Katherine Sims and Joanna Dillon of Green Mountain Farm-to-School in Vermont to launch a website for Farm Direct - a new program offered by their organization.

Farm Direct links local farms with institutional buyers, such as schools and senior centers. This creates a new (or easier-to-access) market for local farms and provides a healthy, feel-good purchase option for institutions.

Jumpstart Logic was excited to take on the job of creating the Green Mountain Farm Direct website. We presented a few design options before agreeing on the cartoon-y feel of the final website. Katherine of Farm Direct worked with a cartoonist, Tim Newcomb, to create the final cartoon images used in the site. We encourage you to learn more about the great work of Farm Direct and check out the website!

TurnStyle Brands Website

February 2010

TurnStyle Brands is a new distributor of "fun and innovative" children's products.  We worked with TurnStyle to create a lively, image-oriented website that incorporated their company's NYC subway/turnstile theme.  The requirements for the website were simple; showcase the company's innovative products to potential retailers and convey a sharp, professional image.  By featuring large sliding images on the home page, the site conveys the fun nature that's at the heart of their products.

The site was built and is hosted on our custom Content Management System, which has allowed Turnstyle Brands to efficiently manage their content and make sure everything is just right with their website prior to officially launching.

DISCLOSURE:  One of our partners, Frank, is also affiliated with Turnstyle Brands.

Frippery - Online Jewelry Store

January 2010

Frippery is a new name in the jewelry industry. By mixing rough cut natural elements with glamourous settings and details, Frippery jewelry is unique. We were proud to work with Alison Pickart, founder and designer of Frippery, to create a website that matches the line's elegance and style.

The Frippery website highlights all facets of the company, focusing on the products, but extending to cover recent press, thoughts from Alison, and ways to connect on Facebook and email.

From a technical perspective FripperyCollection.com was developed and is hosted on our CMS platform Loopsites and integrates with Google Checkout to offer a slick, simple E-Commerce store.

We hope you enjoy the Frippery website and shopping experience. Be sure to let us know your thoughts!

Patrick Lopez of Cardinal Financial - New Website

January 2010

Patrick Lopez came to us because he was looking to get himself established online with a simple, professional website for his mortgage agency.  His company, Cardinal Financial has a website, but he wanted something more personal to him and his customers.  The new website needed to help visitors understand the high level of service and great deal of care Patrick takes with each of his mortgage customers.  Some other requirements included integration with Patrick's weekly mortgage newsletter, a mortgage calculator, a slide show on the home page and some forms for visitors to contact him directly through the website.

We worked with Patrick providing several design options and choices allowing him to select the most appropriate for his business.  The website was then built using our custom Content Management System that allows Patrick to maintain all of the text/images on the site himself.  We provided the initial text and content for the site using his existing marketing materials, and then Patrick revised and personalized everything (and some pages are still a work in progress at this point).

We're very happy with the way the site turned out, and think it will be a great way for Patrick to connect with his customers and prospects.  If you're thinking about buying a home or re-financing in the Philadelphia region you should definitely get in contact with Patrick.  We had a great time working with him on the website and will definitely be calling him ourselves next time we're in the market for a mortgage.

Froio Agency - Home and Auto Insurance Website

November 2009

The Froio Agency came to us because they wanted to more effectively generate online leads.  We worked with Frank from The Froio Agency to set up a Search Engine Optimization strategy that started with a new, SEO optimized website on our custom CMS platform Loopsites.

The old website he was using was hosted on Tumblr using a custom HTML theme, but the theme wasn't entirely designed with SEO in mind.  His new website is simple, straightforward and much better aligned with his SEO strategy.  It features a Blog that he plans to update daily with his thoughts on everything from the insurance industry to the latest news in sports and pop culture.  He is able to SEO each blog post that he writes himself by appropriately choosing the post's URL, title, keywords and description.  Each blog post is automatically submitted to all search engines via the dynamic sitemaps generated by our Loopsites platform, guaranteeing that with each blog post he writes, he increases the chances of people finding his site and hopefully becoming a customer.

Frank also plans on promoting each of his blog posts through Facebook and Twitter, and engaging with the communities on these sites to grow his business.  This is critical to any SEO effort, as an engaged community built around your business will only lead to more referrals and future business.

And all this in less than a week!

SPANNER Website Redesign

October 2009

Website Design, Development and Hosting for MySpanner.comSPANNER is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for young people with developmental disabilities.  They had a blog on Blogger, but it wasn't very effective for getting the word out about club events and providing a central location for SPANNER to get information to existing members, recruit new members and volunteers and provide information to donors.

We worked with them to build a new website that looks more lively and can serve as a hub and enable them to send out info about club events, post pictures via direct integration with Google Picasa, encourage discussion among visitors integrating with the Disqus comment system, and solicit donations using Paypal.

SPANNER was one of the first websites that we launched on our custom CMS platform LoopSites, which has made it easy for them to update information on the site, and interact more with their visitors.

Green Side Up Irrigation Website Development

September 2009

Green Side Up Irrigation is a small business based in South Jersey that specializes in all things irrigation.  They wanted to generate more business by establishing a website and marketing themselves online.  Their requirements weren't very extensive; just a clean, simple website that presented who they are, what they do and contact information for potential customers to reach them.  But they had a small budget and didn't want to pay a bigger web design company.

We designed the logo and the website.  We were able to build and launch their site in less than a week for a cost that fit within their budget.  They now have a simple, clean looking site and have been using it to successfully generate new leads.

Tyke Rider E-Commerce Website

August 2009

TykeRider LLC is a new online retailer that's dedicated to bringing Balance Bikes, made popular in Europe and Australia, to the United States.  They wanted an e-commerce site they could use to sell the children's bikes and helmets online.  However, it's not as straight forward as selling a mountain bike, because the concept of Balance Bikes is new in the United States.  They needed a site that both explained the concept of Balance Bikes and also encouraged U.S. visitors to purchase a bike and give them a try.

The site we built is an e-commerce site using Google Checkout that leverages PHP and Wordpress as a Content Management System.  TykeRider can manage all of their products, inventory, prices easily through the website's administration portal, allowing them to react quickly to changes by their suppliers or customers.

TykeRider wanted to be very intimately involved in the design and development process, so we iterated through several different designs for the site until we finally settled on one that we both felt was right.

With the continued PR/Marketing/Social Media efforts of Frank they've been able to drive a lot of traffic to their site and have sold quite a few bikes so far.

PAVE Contractors Website Redesign

July 2009

PAVE Contractors, LLC are "General Construction and Concrete Specialists" based in the Northern Liberties neighborhood of Philadelphia.  They had been using Go Daddy's Website Tonight to host their company website, but it was too generic-looking. They came to us to figure out how to take their online presence to the next level.

PAVE wanted an affordable website where they could segment their visitors depending on the type of services they were interested in (Residential or Commercial), and present appropriate content. The site needed to let them showcase their expansive line of services, and allow visitors to quickly fill out a form requesting a quote on their project.

We built a custom website for them using Python and the Django Web Framework that let's them to manage the content that is shown on both the Residential and Commerical sides of their website.  We also helped them set their business email, calendar and document sharing up on Google Apps (which is free for small businesses).  This has allowed them to more efficiently plan and coordinate their daily operations.  Whether they're in the office in front of a computer or on their road with their mobile phone, they have access to everything they need.
